Million-dollar homes the exception

I attended a real estate conference last year where I took advantage of a coffe break to compare notes with a realtor from Muskoka.

In his world, a million dollar property is a modest cottage, but that’s not the case in Prince Edward County.

Over the last 5 years, the number of County homes sold for a million dollars or more has ranged from a low of two in 2011 to a high of seven in 2013.

In rough terms that’s 1-2% of total home sales each year, definitely the exception rather than the rule.

In future posts I’ll discuss the reasons for the price differential.
