As I have observed before, there are two broad segments in the County market, with the majority of homes priced under $300,000 going to local residents and the majority of homes over that level going to new residents, principally from the GTA.
As recently as 2013, the majority of homes sold fell into the $300,000 and under category, but this appears to be changing.
Sales of homes under $300,000 fell this spring for the second year in a row, while higher priced homes –especially $300,000 to $500,000 range accounted for biggest sales increase.
