An Interim Control By-Law was passed by County Council on September 22nd which means that Wellington development applications are suspended for one year.
The current municipal water system is Wellington is at the limits of its capacity servicing existing users and many existing homes have problems with low water pressure for years.
The interim control by-law does not affect development complete development applications which have been submitted and are already under consideration by staff prior to the passing of the interim control by-law.
Any such development applications which are approved will require a servicing agreement with the municipality which determines any upgrades required and who will pay.
